All of us in our childhood loved stiffed animals. There is no child who will not have or at list want to have their rooms full with stuffed animals. We can find today on the market, lots and lots of models of these toys. We can choose small ones or bigger ones, with funny faces, or cartoon heroes. Anyway we will like them all. They even were improved with small devices, which allows them to speak or sing. The children, loves them but not only them. If you are hones with yourself, you still kept the little stiffed bear you enjoyed sleeping with. Maybe you are still doing it, when no one sees you.
We keep these memories to bring back the child inside us, who we are missing allot. But did you ever wonder were they come from? Who invented it for the first time? It is a good question, which has its answer, if we are looking for it. Even if you love them already after you may know something about their history you may love them even more.
The first stuffed animals appeared in 1830. They were nothing like they are today. There were no factories, which made them. There were just pieces of cloth stuffed with straws, and were made by the parents or even the children made them for themselves.
They just give them different shapes and just play with them. The idea came from the hunters who use to stuff dead animals. The reasons they did that, was to hang them on walls as trophies. Well is not quit a delightful idea, in fact is a quite sadistic one. But beginning with this hunters habits, better ideas showed up as the stuffed toys. The first stuffed animal, which looked as they are looking today, was created in 1880 in Germany.
There were commercialized in that country for the first time and they became one of the most popular brand and it still is. In the United States of America the first stuffed animal toy was created in 1902. Even that in our days most of the children are more attracted to computers and other electronic devices, the sells on stuffed animals did not decreased.
There are still a lot of children who are still enjoys playing with them and it can be a real exercise for their imagination. They can grow being more creative, and this can only bring them good things in their lives. Since our parents played with the stuffed socks, instead of other toys, the idea to create these beautiful toys for children increased every day.
